1. Way too long since we had seen Norm's parents and sister
2. Needed to do some packing and shoveling at our house... 18" of snow in our driveway!
3. Long weekend, no school on Monday!
4. Valentine's Day getaway
We had to wait until the van was done getting fixed after our little accident. It was finished at 4:30 so by the time we got on the road, had dinner, got gas, we didn't get to IF until 9:30. It seemed like a long drive but a road trip is always fun for me, especially if I don't have to drive! Saturday, Norm and I went out to our house, and realized we couldn't even get remotely close to getting into the house without doing some major excavating. We had to go back and get Norm's Dad's snowblower. We spent a little over an hour at the house. While Norm busted through the snow drifts I finished packing up in the storage room in the basement. We are planning on going up the first weekend of March (another long weekend; no school on Friday) to pack up the rest and start bringing it down to a storage unit. We decided to go to lunch with Norm's parents for a Valentine's Day celebration. We went to Stockman's out on the way towards Rigby. I had the yummiest pasta: chicken, zucchini, broccoli, parmesan and penne noodles. This was all swimming in a reduced chicken broth. So, it wasn't creamy or heavy, just full of flavor and delicious. So good.
The kids got their little Cupid Presents. Norm and I went to Wal-Mart without any ideas of what to do. We roamed a few aisles and ended up in the craft section. The girls ended up with a little latch-hook rug kit, or as Norm call's it: Hook-snatch. Every girl needs to complete one of these in their lifetime, right? We also found them a sweet T-shirt for $1. It's red with this big smiley face with braces and the name FRED. Who knows what it's supposed to mean, but it was a buck. We struggled with Cole, we didn't know what to get. We started wandering, looking for a dollar t-shirt. We didn't find one but we found a sweet $5 Avatar tee. He has been wanting to see the movie, so we thought we'd get him the shirt and a "coupon" to see the movie with Dad. They went this friday and LOVED it. Norm said it was just as good the second time and Cole can't wait to see it again. My Dad and Lindsay, Riley and Ruby met them too.

I don't have any pictures of Tenley working on hers because we realized it was a little beyond her eight year old dexterity, no worries, Norm is on his way to finish it.
We decorated our own cupcakes for our Valentine's Day Dessert. It was a lot of fun and the kids got pretty creative.
