Poetry Anyone?

Cole has been doing a poetry unit in English and has been composing many poems.  He started writing some poems on our dry erase board and then the girls became interested.  They divided the board into fourths and they each took a square and wrote a poem.  They wanted me to read them, which I very happily did.  They were very cute.  Then they said, hey look, there's one more square just for you Mom!  I don't know if that was intentional but it sure seemed like some sort of scheming plot.  So, here are the poems we each came up with:

COLE:

There once was a little blue ball.
Who was afraid to fall.
He was picked up one day
and brought out to play.
He was then thrown against the wall.

MADDY:

There once was a parrot named Fred.
Whose feathers were oh, so red.
He was quite loud
and very proud.
"I'm the best!" he always said.

TENLEY:

There once was a pineapple named Coolie.
He loved shouting out "Fooey!"
at people going by
He wished he could fly
And shout out "KA-Blooey!"

MYLEE a.k.a. MOM:

A Pig named Sam was so sleepy.
His Mom was dreary and weepy.
They often slept and cried.
In the sun, their skin fried.
Then everyone said they were creepy.
